Good time to bargain for cheaper rents in UAE
Residential prices in Dubai fell by 4.1 per cent during the first 11 months of 2018 – with rates for villas dropping at a faster pace compared to apartments.
That’s according to a new report from the property consultancy firm Knight Frank, which also reveals a 7.7 per cent drop in average rental values during the same period.
Meanwhile, the average sales prices in Abu Dhabi fell by 4.7 per cent in the year to November, while rental rates dropped by 8.7 per cent.
The study predicts demand to pick up in the coming months – thanks to the long-term visa schemes announced recently.
