France rugby team questioned in Scotland over assault report
Several of France’s national rugby players have been interrogated by authorities at Edinburgh Airport after a sexual assault was reported in the capital.
However, authorities in Scotland have confirmed that no arrests were made and that all the players that were spoken to were released without charge.
The team’s plane was delayed for two hours because of the questioning, which came after a report of an assault was made early on Monday.
The French team was in Scotland to play a Six Nations fixture on Sunday night, which they lost 32-26.
