France freezes assets for Syria chemical weapons link
France has frozen the assets of three people and nine firms for allegedly helping Syria’s government develop chemical weapons.
They say the move is aimed at clamping down on networks that are aiding the Scientific Studies and Research Center.
The US along with several other Western counties say the center is developing chemical weapons for the government of Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad.
The identities of the people and the organizations whose assets have been frozen have not been revealed.
