Four foreign inmates escape from Bali prison using tunnel
Indonesian police have launched a search for four foreign inmates after they escaped from an overcrowded prison on the resort island of Bali through a narrow tunnel.
Authorities at Kerobokan prison suspect the prisoners took more than a week to build the 12-metre-long tunnel.
Police believed the men – Australian Shaun Edward Davidson, Bulgarian Dimitar Nikolov Iliev, Indian Sayed Muhammad Said and Malaysian Tee Kok King – were still in Bali and not far from the prison.
The men were serving sentences for crimes including immigration rules violation to drug crimes.
