Facebook opens new London hub, to create 800 UK jobs
Facebook opened its new London office on Monday and said it would add another 800 UK jobs next year.
The office will be Facebook’s biggest engineering hub outside the US, and will house it’s first in-house start-up incubator designed to help kick-start British digital businesses.
Nicola Mendelsohn, Facebook’s Europe, Middle East and Asia vice-president, said the company was “more committed than ever to the UK”.
By the end of next year, the tech giant said it will increase the total new UK hires to 1,300, raising the total headcount in the country to 2,300.
