Expired consumer goods seized in Abu Dhabi
Two tonnes of consumer goods have been destroyed in Abu Dhabi after they were found to have expired or fallen short of UAE health standards.
The goods were seized as part of a campaign to boost public health by the Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM), in collaboration with the capital’s Management Centre.
There were more than 7,600 items confiscated in total, and included cosmetics and personal care products.
ADM is also carrying out year-round inspections of men’s salons and ladies’ beauty parlours, as well as cosmetics outlets.
