Dubai’s external trade figure tops AED 965 billion
Dubai’s non-oil foreign trade during the first nine months of 2018 exceeded AED 965 billion.
According to official figures from Dubai Customs, re-exports registered 13 per cent growth to touch nearly AED 300 billion, while imports reached AED 592.2 billion, and exports AED 97.7 billion.
China maintained its position as the emirate’s biggest trading partner during the period (AED 102.9 billion), followed by India (AED 86.2 billion) and the USA (AED 59.6 billion).
Saudi Arabia remains Dubai’s largest Arab trade partner and its fourth-largest globally with figures worth AED 38.6 billion.
Mobile phones topped the list of top-traded commodities (AED 111 billion), followed by gold (AED110 billion) and jewellery (AED78 billion).
