Dubai Desert Classic

Dubai Eye 103.8 brings you all the action from the 28th edition of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and this year marks an extra special edition of the ‘Major of the Middle East’.

All eyes will be on 14-time major champion Tiger Woods, a two-time winner of the event, who makes his return following an 18-month hiatus with a back injury.

emirates-golf-clubWoods will meet a high quality field at Emirates Golf Club, led by defending champion and current owner of the Green Jacket, Danny Willett, World No. 2 Rory McIlroy and reigning Open champion Henrik Stenson.

Homegrown amateur talent Rayhan Thomas will join fellow MENA Golf Tour members, Englishmen Craig Hinton, Luke Joy, and Zane Scotland to compete alongside the game’s legends at the Majlis course.

Wednesday’s traditional Pro-Am tournament gets underway on February 1 with the serious business beginning bright and early on Thursday morning, February 2 as the world’s best golfers battle for one of the most coveted prizes on the European Tour.

A champion will be crowned late afternoon on Sunday February 5.
