Dubai to Muscat Yacht Race: ARN’s Ric Boullemier takes to the high seas for its 25th anniverary
The Middle East’s premier offshore sailing event – the Dubai to Muscat race – is back, and ARN’s very own Ric Boullemier will be taking part as a crew member onboard “Magic”.
It’s no ordinary year either with the 350 mile race either celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Featuring the largest and most skillful sailing teams in the region, the race is accredited by the Royal Ocean Racing Club (“RORC”) and features sailors of all nationalities from around the world.
The Race Village at Dubai Offshore Sailing Club will be open from 10am this Thursday (November 10) with the race itself due to get underway shortly after 2pm.
The 2016 edition will feature the largest number of entries in the history of the event with over 21 monohulls and catamarans racing in IRC and club classes.
Entry to the race village is free from November 10-13 with various activities for the entire family.
Ric will be bringing the race alive to Dubai Eye 103.8’s listeners across its duration linking live into shows for regular updates of his progress.
