Dubai employment strong in global competitiveness report
Dubai comes in fourth globally and the first in the Arab World for “economic performance” according to the Dubai Competitiveness Report 2018.
The report compares Dubai with 63 other world economies based on almost 350 indicators and is issued by Switzerland’s IMD World Competitiveness Centre and Dubai’s Department of Economic Development.
Economic performance was measured by a number of indicators including the real GDP growth rate, GDP per capita, diversification, employment and unemployment rates, foreign trade, and inflation, among others.
The emirate topped the list for the categories of gross domestic savings and employment growth, and was rated second in the areas of unemployment and youth unemployment.
