Dubai attracts over AED 285 billion in real estate investment
Nearly 69,000 real estate transactions worth over AED 285 billion were registered in Dubai in 2017.
That’s according to the Land Department’s latest report, which indicates a year-on-year increase of 6 per cent in the value of deals and a 14 per cent growth in overall numbers.
The bulk of transactions were linked to the sales of land, buildings and units, followed by mortgages.
Indians remain the top foreign investors in Dubai’s property market, with their total spend exceeding AED 15 billion in 2017.
Saudi nationals are second on the list (AED 7 billion), followed by British (AED 6 billion) and Pakistani (AED 5 billion) investors.
Meanwhile, the number of registered property brokers in the emirate reached 6,195 last year, and they earned a total of AED 1.7 billion for their role in sales.
