DLD and DED to cooperate in monitoring real estate companies
The Dubai Land Department (DLD) and the Department of Economic Development (DED) are to work together to control and inspect real estate facilities.
It’s after a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by the departments, which aims to ensure that real estate companies are complying with all relevant laws and regulations.
As part of the agreement, the DLD will provide all the information required for inspections, whilst the DED’s Commercial Compliance & Consumer Protection sector will organise awareness campaigns for the targeted parties.
Officials say the MoU will also help to establish transparency and accountability, and to protect the rights of investors.
