Lessons from Nightline #6

May 29, 2012 -- 4:24pm

One thing about hosting Nightline is you get the opportunity to meet some very interesting people.

Leanna and Mark Shuttleworth were 2 of those people you meet and do a double take.

You take a second look not because they look odd or anything like that, but because they are so normal and nice.

Not that people who climb mountains, in this case the 7 summits, are not nice but they usually have a way about them that these 2 didn’t have it.

Mark and Leanna are just very nice humble people.

Leanna has just turned 19 and become the youngest British woman to climb Everest and the other 6 summits.

Just an inspiring woman.

Mark has a desk job and is probably the last person you would expect to go mountain climbing.

I guess we all have goals and the trick is keeping focused and just doing them.

The whole story just grabbed me and I think it's worth a listen.

What can you take from Mark and Leanna?

1. Family stick together
2. We all have our own Everest
3. You can do anything if you put your mind to it
4. Listen
5. Be thankful for what you have

Here is the link to Leanna’s blog of the trip, simply WOW. Leave your comments below.
