The business end of the week sees Jason and Zulf reflect on some amazing stories, some sensational interviews and of course a lot of laughs. Mark Lloyd on his travels has given his thumbs up to the boys' endeavours to take the show to another level, but to all Lloydy groupies out there rest assured the blonde bombshell will be back shortly to resume his mantle on the Entertainment show.
In terms of news stories we were awash with breaking news as well as insights into the world of entertainment, as let's face it news doesn’t sleep and especially not when it comes to entertainment. Here are some of the highlights and lowlights: of course; we mourned the passing of Bollywood actor Rajesh Kanna, Deep Purple's John Lord, amongst others and celebrated the Olympics with Carol Maddison of Visit Britain, and the news of Batman’s new instalment The Dark Knight Rises garnering favourable accolades from the global media.
We were enthralled by the audio-visual delights of the camera world from Panasonic who illuminated us with breaking news product wise and who educated and entertained us in equal measure, and the kind people from Chimes Restaurant offering us virtually timeless competitions prizes.
The highlight of the week so far was without acdoubt the interview with Welsh Broadcasting and Comedic legend Idris Charles (posted on the website as a podcast), who transfixed, spellbound and inspired both Jason and Zulf with his tales of his humble beginnings right up until his ascendancy in the world of broadcasting primarily in his native tongue Welsh. Father of Film Crew regular Iwan openly admitted to being awestruck by his actor father and yearned to follow suit but never really cut the mustard but cleverly carved himself his own niche as a radio-presenter, comic writer and stand up comedian to name a host of his numerous talents. A charming man indeed if you have the chance to listen to the interview on our website especially if you missed it live. Grab it on the podcast, because if you like us and want to be inspired by the people who come on our shows then you can't miss this twice.

The Film Crew came on and championed the merits of a certain Lothario and now Hollywood veteran in Warren Beatty and anointed him with deity like status after a stellar career as; actor, writer, producer and director. There was as usual lively debate surrounding the latest releases and the movers and shakers in the film charts in Dubai courtesy of Grand Cinemas and also the small matter of criticism being levelled at Robert De Niro. An actor more renowned for scene stealing performances, the Film Crew decided as did the hosts, that as of late his film choices have been spurious at best and a return to force in a blockbuster is needed to return him to the top of his craft, where he rightly belongs and has been revered for so very long.
That pretty much covers it for now; but stay tuned to Entertainment Today in the coming days and follow Jason and Zulf's unparalleled coverage of what really cuts it in entertainment.
