China criticises India for crashed drone near border
China expressed “strong dissatisfaction” with India on Thursday over the recent crash of an Indian drone in Chinese territory.
The incident is likely to cause more friction along the two countries’ disputed border.
A senior Chinese military official expressed “strong dissatisfaction and opposition” over India’s alleged violation of China’s territorial sovereignty. He said the drone crashed in “recent days” but did not give a location.
The Indian border guards said they had alerted their Chinese counterparts after their drones developed a technical glitch and crossed the so-called line of actual control separating the countries.
