Bomb blast kills 75 in Pakistan Sufi shrine

An estimated 75 people have been killed in a bomb blast at Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine in the southern city of Sehwan in Sindh province.

More than 200 people have been injured, and terror group, IS has claimed responsibility for the blast – it has been reported.

Prime minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif released a statement saying: “I have directed all the state institutions to mobilize all resources for rescue and relief after this brutal terror attack on Lal Shahbaz Qalandar’s shrine.”

Operatives from Afghanistan have been blamed for the attack, and the Pakistan-Afghanistan border has subsequently been closed.
