Arab quartet refute Qatari claims at UNHRC
The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt have refuted allegations made by Qatar at the UN Human Rights Council.
In a statement, the quartet reiterated that their decision to sever diplomatic relations with Doha is a sovereign one.
They described the move as a boycott and not a blockade, as Qatar is falsely trying to claim.
The statement was delivered by the UAE’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office, Obaid Salem Saeed Al Za’abi, who added that the Emirates can provide all evidence to challenge the Qatari allegations.
