Air France raises pay offer in bid to avert more strikes

Air France has doubled the 1 per cent immediate pay increase previously offered striking workers on the seventh day of industrial action that have already cost the airline €170 million.

But the airlines’ chairman and chief executive Jean-Marc Janaillac said the unions’ demand of a 6 per cent pay rise was “unrealistic”.
