AED 2 million grant for Umm al Quwain fishermen
The ruler of Umm al Quwain has ordered the allocation of AED 2 million for local fishermen.
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, said the move is aimed at encouraging more people to join the fishing profession and help them live a decent life.
More land will also be allocated next to the emirate’s fish market for an ice factory and to make space for more fishing boats to dock.
Fisherman and their families will also be provided with supplies and equipment to help advance their fishing profession.
